Surveys into the accommodation needs of Gypsy and Travellers are a relatively new process and there are very few completed examples to provide Best Practice. There is still only draft guidance from CLG on how to assess the needs of this group and although assessing their needs is a local authority requirement, surveys are more effectively conducted at sub-regional or County level.
